2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, profile picture, and role within the platform.
- Church/community data: community name, logo, member lists, events, content, and giving records entered by administrators.
- Member data: member profiles, contact details, attendance, and pastoral notes entered by church administrators.
- Giving data: donation amounts, fund types, Gift Aid declarations, and payment records processed via Stripe.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interaction logs for platform improvement.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and operate the Ekkleo platform.
- To process online giving via Stripe.
- To send platform notifications and email communications.
- To generate Gift Aid declarations and HMRC reports for eligible churches.
- To provide AI-powered pastoral insights based on anonymised congregation data.
- To improve our platform and fix technical issues.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Stripe: for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Infrastructure providers: for hosting, databases, and email delivery, all under data processing agreements.
- HMRC: only where a church requests Gift Aid claims (submitted by the church administrator).
5. Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email hello@ekkleo.com. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete personal data within 90 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. financial records for 7 years).

We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
